THOROUGHBRED
Shar is our old thoroughbred that we have had with us for many years and is now aged 21.
Jo used to work for his breeder and has known Shar since he was 6 months old. He was bred from very good quality racing stock and was destined to be a steeplechaser, hence his huge 16.2hh stature, but unfortunately his breeder passed away so he was never sent for training.
One of his close relations ran in the Grand National and was winning until he jumped a loose horse AND Beechers Brook didn't quite make the landing! Both jockey and horse were fine.
Shars role is the CSC nanny! He keeps all the young horses in check, teaches them good manners in the field and is Daisy's best friend.
He isn't quite sure if he is a stallion, gelding or a mare but has the most gentle temperament and even though he never made it as a racehorse, we still love him!

Daisy is our brood mare, pictured here with Jack aged 2 days old.
She is a beautiful 16.3hh Palomino and the dam to all our sports horse young stock. She is a fantastic mare and is a brilliant mother. She was sired by Henderson Dex who was a Chestnut showjumping stallion competed by the famous Whittaker family.
She has bred lots of wonderful foals for us at the Caramel Stud and we are hoping to put her to our Drum stallion Sergeant, to see what we can produce from them. We are hoping to get a Palomino or Palomino skewbald heavy type of horse with lots of mane tail and feather.

Brandy is Jack and Marble's sister.She stands at 16.1hh and like her siblings has a wonderful attitude to life. She is for sale as we are sure she would make a fantastic eventer. Just like her sister Marble, she is a chestnut skewbald.

Marble is Jo's everyday riding horse. Her dam is Daisy and her sire was Fudge.She has the sweetest, kind nature and is an absolute love. She is slightly stockier than her siblings and stands at 16hh, but is just as agile and is a really fun horse.
Marble is also a skewbald like her siblings and sire, but she is a Chestnut skewbald.

DRUM HORSE
Sergeant, or Serge as we call him, is our Drum Horse Stallion. Champion Shire x champion Gypsy Vanner, he stands at 17hh and is a fully registered and licensed stallion with the International Drum Horse Association (IDHA). He is a gentle giant and is the horse that Andy learned to ride on. He is known as a Piebald which is colouring consisting of big patches of black and white.
The criteria that must be met to gain Drum horse status is extremely strict in order to maintain a high standard of breeding. Sergeant certainly meets every criteria. He is a very special boy.
Drum horses are a relatively new breed so Serge is an important asset to the breeding programme and will help to create fantastic future generations of this magnificent class of horse .
